I am a Systems Engineer and Supervisor for Harris Information Technology Services, supporting a medium sized health care organization for more than 11 years. My major focus has been Intel based servers,

operating systems, application delivery, directory services, DNS, and all things related to making a 7,000 user environment run 24x7.I began using Linux and BSD in 1998 out of curiosity, and later used Linux as my

main desktop OS. Since 2000, I have actively looked for areas where Linux and open source are a better option, or ways to implement new capabilities using Linux and open source. I am currently leading a migration

of Netware eDirectory, DNS and file servers to Linux.

One of the larger projects I helped migrate to Linux involves Cardiology and Radiology PACS
to Red Hat Linux Cluster Services using GFS for a clustered filesystem. This provided more flexibility, reliability and

better performance. We are currently storing more than 30TB in three tiers of SAN storage, and another 25TB will be migrated to this system by June. My certifications include RHCE 5 and Novell Certified Linux Engineer,

along with several other I/T related certifications.
